Important issues
As we have grown and become more involved with projects and issues so has our voice. Along with regular Facebook posts, a monthly Contributor column in the Hunts Post and occasional articles, we publish a bi-annual newsletter The Valley plus Media Releases to as wide an audience as possible.
Our latest Media Release drew attention to the trees along the new A14 planted by National Highways dying in their thousands plus their refusal to honour their obligation to remove old plastic tree guards that now litter the verges. It resulted in an article in the Hunts Post and in The Riverporter, plus discussions between our MP Jonathan Djanogoly and National Highways executives. We are now pleased to report (February 2024) that after much lobbying, National Highways are now using volunteers to clear up their own mess.
